My Mickey Mouse

My Mickey Mouse is a project exploring the familiarity of the popular cultural icon, Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse represents the greatness of America and the success of a society governed by capitalism. It is associated with Disney, a fictional world consisting of fantasies. Its popularity is established through mass media, production, and consumption. The participating artists answered a call-for-entry by submitting their drawings of Mickey Mouse from memory. These drawings were utilized as sources for the collage of my version of Mickey Mouse. The process is similar to fueling artificial intelligence with data. However I am an organic intelligence and the final result is made from my preference, nostalgia, and the significance of Mickey Mouse rather than machine algorithm and analytics.
